Originally from Vancouver, B.C, Canada, I grew up in a diverse household as the child of first generation inter-racial couple. After my parents divorce we moved to Virginia, USA where I was raised by a single mother with help from my maternal family. After my mother remarried, we moved to Washington, USA where I have been a pacific northwest native since.
At the age of 6 years old I knew I wanted to be a lawyer because of the inspiration from the lawyers and judicial officers who handled my parents dissolution. I spent my youth intrigued and captivated by legal changes, such as development in battered women’s syndrome as a legal defense. In high school I job shadowed lawyers to learn about the legal culture. I am the first in my family to attend University and Post-graduate studies.
I received a double degree from Seattle University in 2009, a B.A in Humanities and a B.A in Political Science. After taking several years to work in the legal field as a legal assistant and paralegal for mid-sized law firms as well as temporary positions with Microsoft I received my Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law in 2017. I am currently employed with Wong Fleming managing a team of attorneys in our Family Law Department, along with managing cases in property law and contract enforcement.
